On Saturday, April 23, 2022, the DoSeum and Project H.E.L.P. San Antonio (Humanity Evolves from Loving People) partner up to spread Humanity to the community during the Spring-tacular STEM Big Day of Play.
The DoSeum’s “Spring Into STEM” program will focus on exploring how science, technology, engineering, and math can be found during the spring season, as Project H.E.L.P. complements their efforts by engaging guests with a hands-on volunteer experience to provide necessities for the houseless and underserved communities.
During the event, guests will have the opportunity to make art using flowers, examine specimens closely under a microscopic lens, craft flying machines inspired by birds and butterflies, learn alongside DoSeum educators and local teachers, while being enriched with invaluable lessons of empathy and humanity for those who need it most
To ensure a rewarding experience for our volunteers, we will have two Humanity Shifts during the day and each shift will be making 250 sandwiches and building 250 survival kits with love letters for our houseless neighbors:
Shift 1: 10 am - 12:30
Intermission for Lunch and Exploration: 12:30 - 1:30p
Shift 2: 1:30p - 4:00p
Admission is FREE** for all guests volunteering with Project H.E.L.P.
**For volunteers arriving without children please complete the DoSeum background check BEFORE April 20 --
