Houston, Project H.E.L.P has a solution to the problem! Houston, home of the Rockets, Texans, and Beyonce Knowles-Carter. Everything is bigger in Texas and the homeless population is no different. As the fourth most populated city in the nation, Houston has an equally large number of people suffering from homelessness. There are approximately 3,000 Houstonians experiencing homelessness and Project H.E.L.P is here to assist. Project H.E.L.P is Houston Strong.
Project H.E.L.P. hosts story time at the Converse Library on the first and third Saturday of the month. Because the Converse area has a flourishing Latinx community, we have designated the first Saturday of the month as our Spanish Story Time.
These story times are a way to shine a light on the importance of literacy within our community and provide safe and educational fun for our youth.
There are few things in life more important than a good education. Project H.E.L.P. provides homework help every Thursday at the Converse Public Library.
This service comes at no cost to our community members, giving the students in our community the resources to be successful in their education.
